My celebrated tech start-up is actively seeking an accomplished Sales Development Representative (SDR) to spearhead the expansion of its global market presence. Joining the company at this juncture is particularly exciting, given the outstanding success of their marketing-leading unique software platform that has demonstrated in delivering exceptional value to a diverse array of businesses in the UK and internationally.
The Client is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to collaborate with the growth team in establishing priorities and guiding the strategic direction of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proactively prospecting and engaging new suppliers and brands through methods such as cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, and participation in expos.
- The role also involves conducting discovery calls with both outbound and inbound leads, occasional product demos, and maintaining accurate CRM records.
- As a champion and advocate for users, you will work closely with Marketing and Product teams to enhance our product continually. Your commitment extends to going above and beyond in representing the company, surpassing growth targets aligned with overarching business objectives.
- This entails collecting and recording feedback throughout the sales process and offering insightful suggestions for improvements. Additionally, you will stay abreast of industry trends, market activities, and competitor landscapes to identify opportunities for product enhancements or new offerings.
- Attending industry events is also part of the role of networking, building contacts, and upholding the company's positive image.
Preferred Background
The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 1 year of B2B Sales Development (SDR) experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of effective communication with businesses across various industries, sizes, and experience levels. A natural flair for customer interaction, consistent overachievement of targets, and familiarity or interest in the foods/consumer goods industry with brands and suppliers is preferred.
- Tech or FMCG is highly desirable
